Dialogue Me (as guide) Between Tourist in Asian-Africa conference



ü Farhah         : Hello, good morning. I’m farhatul istiqomah, but you can call me farhah. I’m your guide.
ü Girls           : I’m jane, catty, and angel.
ü Farhah        : Nice to meet  you girls, first of all welcome to indonesia, and welcome to Asian African Conference, Let’s start now ?
ü Jane           : Faster is better, right ?
ü Farhah         : all right, come on girls.
(farhah & girls entered Gedung Merdeka)
ü Farhah         : Ok, i will explain you about Gedung Merdeka.  The historic first Asian-African Conference was convened here in the “Gedung Merdeka”, Bandung, West Java, from 18th to 24th April 1955, The Museum is open Mondays through Fridays from 08.0 am to 03.0 pm Western Indonesia Time. a recognized milestone in world history. This was the first time that 29 Asian and African countries, most of whom had just gained their independence from centuries of colonial rule, gathered to join hands to determine their own future. Together they covered a quarter of the world’s land surface with a total population of 1.5 billion people.
ü Angel         : what is the countries ?
ü Farhah       : the countries Initiated by Indonesia, Burma (now Myanmar), Ceylon (now Sri Lanka), Pakistan and India, other countries participating were : Afghanistan, Cambodia, the People’s Republic of China, Cyprus, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Jordan, Laos, Lebanon, Liberia, Libya, Nepal, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Sudan, Thailand, Turkey, the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (North Vietnam), the State of Vietnam (South Vietnam), and Yemen.




ü Jane             : Mrs.Farhah what is this ? agreements between countries ?
ü Farhah         : No, this is Dasasila Bandung, in which most of the principles of the United Nations were incorporated, and which became the guideline for colonized countries in their fight for independence. It also became the fundamental principles in promoting world peace and international cooperation. The success of the conference was not only important and meaningful for that period in history, but since essentialy it exuded the soul and spirit of the people living in the two continents, the Asian-African Conference continues to be a source of inspiration for generations, and you can look, Dasasila Bandung translated in various languages .
ü Catty            : Oh, this is unique.
ü Farhah           : yeah of course, you can see closer, by the way.

ü Farhah            : we are going to PERMANENT EXHIBITION ROOM

ü Jane              : what is on display in the permanent exhibition room ???
ü Farhah            : the permanent exhibition room has exhibits collections of three-dimensional objects and documentary photos of the preparatory Tugu Meeting, the Colombo Conference, the Bogor Meeting and the Asian-African Conference 1955.
ü Catty           : three dimensional objects ??? I want to see.
ü Farhah           : yeah, i will show it. You want to see now girls???
ü Jane,angel      : yeah we want.
ü Farhah           : ok, we are going to three dimensional objects.

ü Farhah           : ok, this is what i mean. Speech of president RI in opening  Asian-Africa conference.

ü Farhah            : yes of course, but you can’t see closer.

ü Farhah            : guys now, we are going to conference hall.


ü Farhah         : this is conference hall. This hall is used to hold the asian-africa conference. flags of Asia-Africa conference participants lined up at the back, while the flag in the front are the countries present at the 50th anniversary of the KAA.

ü Angel            : what is that ? it’s so cute.
ü Farhah          : this is Gong Perdamaian Asian Africa,  as a symbol of friendship between the people of Asia-Africa.
ü Angel            : that is our flag turkey.
ü Farhah         : yeah, of course. Anyway, you want to hear the speech of the  president RI in the opening of Asia-Afrika conference.
ü Catty            : yeah we want, take us there.
ü Farhah            : ok, i will show you.

ü Farhah            : this, you can use that to hear  the speech of president indonesia.
ü Catty            : ow, that is precious relics.
ü Farhah            : yeah, exactly. Now, we are going to the last places there are library and audio visual.


ü Farhah            : this is the library, you can see the books.
ü Jane              : what is the books in here ??
ü Farhah          : The library provides books on the history, social, politics, and cultures of the Asian African Countries and others; documents of the Asian-African Conference and its preparatory conferences; magazines and newspapers donated by other institutions or gained through purchase.
ü Jane             : oh, full of knowledge.
ü Farhah           : yeah, of course. Ok, we are going to the last place, Audio Visual.


ü Farhah           : in this place, you can watch the film.
ü Jane             : what are the films show up in here??
ü Farhah          : The room is used to show documentary films on world conditions until 1950s, the Asian-African Conference and its preliminary conferences, and films about the social, political, and culture conditions surrounding the Asian-African Countries.
ü Jane           : oh, really cool.
ü Farhah         : ok, we have done. I really so glad to guide you girls. I hope you too.
ü Angel         : oh, me too. Thank you for everything. Now, i know what i don’t know it’s because of you.
ü Farhah         : oh, it’s my duty. After this, you want to go to any places ??
ü Jane           : oh no, i will go to hotel, i’m so tired. And we will go again in evening, maybe.
ü Catty         : yeah, me too. I wanna lay in my bed. (laughed) thank you so much Mrs.farhah to be our nice guide. I hope we will meet again.
